David St-Onge est professeur agrégé en génie mécanique à l’École de Technologie Supérieure. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat en génie mécanique et robotique spatiale de l’Université Laval, où il a également complété une maîtrise en contrôle des aéronefs. Il a oeuvré pendant près de dix ans dans le domaine des arts (théâtre, musées et cirque): en tant que directeur de la production d’un atelier et ingénieur en R & D de médias interactifs. Il a également complété une maîtrise en gestion de projet et il est pilote certifié et évaluateur de vol pour de petits aéronefs (TC). Il est auteur de plus de 60 publications revues par des pairs dans le domaine de la robotique, principalement en interaction personne-machine, en conception de structure pour véhicules volants et en contrôle de petits aéronefs. Il est organisateur de plusieurs événements et publications démontrant la pertinence des recherches transdisciplinaires, principalement alliant art et ingénierie.
