Akhil Pilakkatt Meethal

Akhil has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Kerala (College of Engineering Trivandrum, India). He did his Master in Machine Learning at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology and PhD in Machine Learning at Ecole de Technologie Superiuere (ETS) Montreal with a focus on building label-efficient Image Recognition Systems for Computer Vision. He also worked with tech startups and MNCs to build ML solutions for automated feedback monitoring, automated medication verification systems, intoxication detection from voice signals, and automated inspection using drones. He is interested in building multi-robot systems for automation in agricultural tasks with coordinated perception and task planning.
