Louis Catar is a French double degree student. After two years of preparatory classes for the Grandes Ecoles in mathematics, physics-chemistry and engineering sciences, he joined the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers ParisTech to follow general theoretical and applied studies. He has the opportunity to start a double degree in mechanical engineering at ETS in 2021 before starting shortly after a doctorate. Passionate about complex systems, he developed his interest in the aerospace field by working on the development of manufacturing procedures for ultra-light micro-structures. He applies his research to the construction of a small rigid airship drone for the exploration of confined and restricted interior spaces such as underground networks.
