Zakary Kamal Ismail

Zakary Kamal Ismail is a master’s student specializing in robotic control systems. His journey in technology began in high school, where he taught himself programming in his free time. However, he wanted to understand the computers and other electronic circuits that run his programs. He also aspired to write programs to control the movements of robots in the real world. This led him to pursue a technical diploma in programmable electronics at Cégep de l’Outaouais, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at ÉTS, where he took every undergrad course available on system modeling and control. His work on the control of the ARIES autonomous mobile robot combines programming, electronics, and making a real robot move.
